Every honest conservative will concede that this has been a tough year for the country, and I'm not just talking about the economy. With our party, platform, and political egos painfully bruised, conservatives haven't had much to smile about on the ideological front, either. Republican wounds have been slow to mend, when they're healing at all, and a perusal of mainstream media is something I would never prescribe to my brethren as an antidote for the post-election blues.
Until today.
The Huffington Post is to the educated conservative what the Qur'an is to the fundamental Christian- ignorant, uninspired allegory- and like any good seminarian who has read the Islamic text, I can't resist the compulsion to scan the Huffington rag with a similar motive: to discover what my enemies are thinking. This evening, my scrutiny was rewarded as I read this opinion piece by Drew Westen:

As you read, consider the source, and allow yourself a sigh and a smile as you recognize that support for Mr. Obama and the Democratic Party is beginning to dissolve.
Stay diligent and continue to resist the common idea that the Republican Party and conservativism is dead.
It ain't over yet!
